Georgian Wines Exported 104% More to China in 1H-2017
Released by Georgia’s National Wine Agency, Georgian wines exported to China increased 103% (comparing to the same period in 2016) in the first half of 2017, to over 3.84 million bottles and becoming the 2nd largest wine export market next to Russia, and exceeded Ukraine’s 2.98 million bottles (30% growth). The 6-month total export was 31.5 million bottles which valued US$70.5 million, a 59% and 51% growth respectively.

From the Chinese Custom’s statistics, Georgia was the 12th largest wine export country to China, which imported 1,768,778 liters and valued US$6.11 million from January to May 2017.
